Mid summer growing

It’s over a month since my last allotment post. Everything sort of did a go slow, still growing but in need of sunshine and rain and then ended up with too much of both!

We’ve just enjoyed a week away in East Anglia so hoped everything had grown while we’d been away… and it had!

What we took home…

Our raspberries and boysenberries look and taste good!

Curly Kale… we all love this!First potatoes of the year. The last of this year’s garlic. Not huge bulbs but they taste amazing.

First jam making of the year!

4B and 5B aren’t looking bad at all.
Just over two years ago there were just two compost bins on 5B and then nothing but weeds and brambles on both plots. Everything you see has been built, dug or planted by us and we definitely love our allotment and the time we spend there.
