One of my many addictions in life is ice cream and last night we both got a cornet to eat on the prom from the world famous Nardini Ice Cream Parlour in Largs.
This afternoon we’ve driven to Kilmarnock in search of an Edward 8th post box and on our drive back to Wemyss Bay I suggested pre birthday treats for Mr C.
We managed to park right outside the door of Nardini’s and we’re seated near the window of this lovely art deco ice cream parlour. First established in 1890 they sell lots of Italian savoury and sweet treats as well as ice cream.
The ice cream in the take away part of the restaurant.
A very smooth and tasty black Americano coffee for me, I did ask for a small one but ended up with a large mug which was almost too heavy to lift but definitely a great coffee.
We both chose a sandwich… Mr C couldn’t resist the mention of meatballs on the menu and I went for salami milano, mozzarella and tomatoes in foccacia bread.
Dessert…. eek… how much choice?
We needed a few minutes to recover from our fantastic sandwiches then I decided on a Chocolate Honeycomb Vesuvious sundae and Mr C went for the Chocolate Peanut Butter sundae.
The photos speak for themselves….
Ice cream heaven in Scotland!
Happy birthday for tomorrow Mr C 🙂
