Rain Stopped Play…

Mr C had a long weekend booked for Super League’s ‘Magic Weekend’ up in Newcastle so no allotment time this weekend. Luckily he had today off as well so plot 5B did not go unloved all week 🙂

Do you fancy a tour?

Horse Tail/Mares Tail… Mr C hates the stuff…it’s  growing under this weed membrane fabric we put down! Also plot 6B above us is covered in the stuff!

5B was looking good today 🙂

Thank you Pam… that first day I never thought we’d have a plot like this growing so well for this summer. I think Mr C thought I was mad but he has achieved so much and is definitely a true allotmenteer! s x 🙂

  2. You’ve worked wonders, fair play! Horse tail is a real nasty…luckily we don’t have it on the site but we have bindweed in abundance! :-/

    1. Sharon says:

At least bindweed has pretty flowers but it does take a lot of hard work to get rid of it… the Horse Tail has overtaken many plots on our site which isn’t good but I’ve now waged war on it and have a bottle of Tree Stump Killer ready to use on the worst border of 5B once we have a warm and calm day… saying that it always seems to be blowing a gale on our small hill. Can’t wait to see what happens to your new plot over the coming weeks! Talk soon s x 🙂
