Mr C had a long weekend booked for Super League’s ‘Magic Weekend’ up in Newcastle so no allotment time this weekend. Luckily he had today off as well so plot 5B did not go unloved all week 🙂
Do you fancy a tour?

What’s growing so far?
Oops squash not happy but I have more seeds planted at home on a windowsill.
New raised bed at the bottom which Mr C built and filled today. Peppers, chilli, marigolds and nasturtiums. (Also sweet peas that still need to be planted.)
Dwarf broad beans
Runner beans and marigolds
Spring onions and garlic
Parsnips. Flower seeds planted in the rest of this bed.
Radish and lettuce. More seeds were sown last week.
Peas and marigolds
Tomatoes in grow bags between the raised beds.
Large bed. Squash, beetroot, brassica, potatoes, sunflowers, rhubarb and boysenberries.
Potatoes, brassicas and squash.
Apple tree had lots of blossom but only about 7 pieces left, wondering if they weren’t pollinated.
Boysenberries are appearing!
We now have 10 raised beds.
Horse Tail/Mares Tail… Mr C hates the stuff…it’s growing under this weed membrane fabric we put down! Also plot 6B above us is covered in the stuff!
5B was looking good today 🙂
