DIY Skills At The Ready!

After much research we’ve ordered our shed for the allotment and it arrives next week.  We’ve got our letter of authority from the council confirming it’s the right size and that they’ve checked where on the plot we’re putting it and that everything is okay.

I suppose it could have been worse if 5B had a dilapidated old shed on it that needed removing before we could get a new one.  There are some terrible photos of unloved sheds online.

I’m not sure Mr C would have been very happy if he had to demolish one shed before he could start building a new one!

So after much deliberation, this is what we should have on 5B by next weekend, a 6′ x 4′ shed with double doors just inside the NE corner of the plot.  Watch this space for how Mr C and the Curly One get on, they’ve built CD racks, drawers and a dining table before… please let the instructions be very thorough and easy to follow! 😉

My dream shed would probably have been an old train carriage but I don’t think the council would have agreed to that… a girl can dream though…

It’s gorgeous isn’t it… perhaps I’ll save up for one in our garden instead of the allotment 🙂 x
