‘Allotmenteering’ Is Like Climbing A Mountain With No Peak

It’s almost 5pm and Mr C looks like he’s on the verge of being broken but he won’t go home until he’s finished this last metre of digging for the day. Only a few metres to go.

The Curly One has just gone home, he’s dug a lot of the main bed today and has just helped to plant our Braeburn apple tree and two kinds of rhubarb, Red Champagne and Victoria.

Mr C has hardly stopped and we got here before 10am this morning. A quick burger lunch on the plot and he’s still going. His shoulders are starting to sag and the spade looks heavier but it’s almost the end of the day.

Photos speak louder than words…

An 8 hour shift today for Mr C and about 4 hours for the Curly One… well done boys… you’re amazing!
