Creme Egg Chocolate Brownie

So after testing many brownie recipes I do believe that I’ve now got the perfect goey concoction that should please any chocoholic!

And the amazing secret is that it’s cocoa based rather than using huge amounts of chocolate.

Obviously it would work perfectly without the addition of the Cadbury Creme Eggs!

140g butter
250g caster sugar
70g cocoa
Pinch of salt
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
2 large eggs
65g plain flour
75g plain chocolate
We added mini creme eggs cut in half on the top
You could add a handful of walnuts for added taste and texture

Preheat oven to 170 degrees.

Grease and line a square tin, approximately 8″ x8″.

Melt the butter, sugar and cocoa in a pan or microwave. I put mine in the microwave on high for 40 seconds. Stir well.

Add the salt and vanilla and stir in gently.

Add the eggs one at a time beating well.

Beat in the flour until fully mixed.

I added the chopped chocolate and stirred gently.

Push creme eggs into the mixture.

Bake for 20-25 minutes.

Brownies should be gooey on the inside with a cracked top and firmer edge.

These brownies were totally divine.

Go on… you know you want to!

These definitely need a health warning!
