‘Yorkshire Day’ Clandestine Cake Club
We don’t need an excuse to hold a cake club so the offer of holding a Yorkshire Day event sponsored by Yorkshire Tea took no thinking about at all. My reply was instantly ‘yes!’
I was so excited when my box of goodies arrived… bunting, cups, table cloths, balloons, tea bags and a teapot.
So on 1 August 2013 we all met for our special Yorkshire Tea sponsored event!
Waiting for the rest of the cakes to arrive. A little bit windy so having to use marigolds and candles to hold down our snazzy Yorkshire Tea tablecloth.
Love the splashes of red with the Yorkshire Tea accessories and I’d bought red plates and spotty red napkins!
We’d even got bubbles… I love bubbles!
All ready for our guests to arrive at the secret garden venue in Pudsey! Yokrshire flag, Yorkshire Tea bunting and balloons and lots of spotty bunting and candles all around the garden.
There was even a Tardis in the corner of the garden…
Cake club! I have to say that we are a lovely bunch of cake clubbers in Pudsey and West Leeds! We also love meeting new members so please say hi and come along to an event soon! This event was all ladies but we have lots of men as part of our group too! If you can bake or even want to start baking you just need to get in touch.
Love that Jennie also had a Yorkshire Tea teapot at home! Two tea pots!
Julie’s Strawberry Cheesecake
Emma’s Rhubarb and Custard Cake
Nicola’s Rhubarb Crumble Cake
Sharon’s Yorkshire Rose bundt
Jennie’s White Chocolate and Raspberry Cheesecake
Amanda’s Lemon Cake
I feel like a ‘proud mum’ once all the cakes arrive at an event!
My ‘Lynn Hill’ cake pose!
A good time was had by all. Lots of Yorkshire Tea was flowing which was very thirst quenching on what was the hottest day/evening of the year in Pudsey so far!!
A huge thank you to Yorkshire Tea for sponsoring this event. A big thank you to Mr C and the Curly One for helping me to set up the event in our garden.
