Mocktails and Cocktails
This event had been causing much giddiness among our members. Apparently alcohol in a cake is a very exciting idea, especially when the venue is a pub! Cake and alcohol! And on a school night too!!
A huge thank you to The Crossed Shuttle in Pudsey for asking us to hold cake club there! We always like to have a new venue, especially one with a huge range of drinks! The staff were amazing and even got chance to try some cakes!
At our last event we chose to make a donation of £45 to Leeds Weekend Care Association, a cheque was handed to Angie Roberts on the night. This money is raised from members making a 50p donation at events towards the cost of napkins, paper plates and plastic forks.
The 18 cakes that attended on the night were:
Sharon – Old Peculiar Bundt (Not a cocktail but I’d visited the Theakston Brewery last week! Ginger, spices and OP works very well together though!!)
My jar of vodka laced strawberries from Julie!
Catherine – Mojito Cake
So have all those amazing cakes made your mouth water?
I wouldn’t be surprised if everyone was fancying a cocktail night too!!
