Sassy Divas – Talk by Kim Holmes, Yorkshire Body Clinic
We are a new group that’s been set up at St Peter’s Church on Hough Lane in Bramley, Leeds. We are meeting on the second Wednesday of the month and will be having craft workshops, demonstrations as well as talks. Our aim is to become a new Women’s Institute for Bramley and West Leeds from October 2013 and until then we are trying to build up our membership and create a place where women can come along, learn a new skill, be inspired and most importantly meet new friends.
We have held a crochet evening in March 2013 called Happy Hookers which was a great success. A talk was given by Sharon Clarkson who has only been crocheting since June last year and proved that with a little bit of determination most people can learn to crochet, even some of our left handed members! In April 2013 Kim Holmes from Yorkshire Body Clinic came along and told us all about Bowen Therapy.
Our next meeting is on Wednesday 8 May 2013 at 7.30pm in the Lower Hall of St Peter’s in Bramley. We’ll be having a paper crafting workshop from Julie Kettlewell using Stampin’ Up! It’s £4 on the door and all ladies are welcome, if members would like to take part in our workshop on the night there will be an extra charge of £2 for materials. There will also be a raffle at £1 a ticket. Our June meeting will be a flower arranging workshop with Sofia from Ivy Florist in Pudsey and in July we’ve got Mary from Incredible Edible Todmorden coming along to give a talk and inspire us. We’ve plans for more craft workshops as well as cooking and preserving ideas and a Chocolate Demonstration in October by Mike Wallis. Hopefully something for everyone.
We hope to meet ladies of all ages from around West Leeds and beyond over the coming months. If you’d like to know more please contact Julie Botham and Sharon Clarkson by emailing email@example.com or join us on facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/SassyDivasLeeds/ and twitter @SassyDivasLeeds
