Lemon Drizzle Cake
One of my favourite cakes is a lemon drizzle cake. Over the years I have tried many cakes and recipes but I always go back to Mary Berry’s sugar coated lemon cake.
There’s a crunch as you bite into the top of the cake then a total meltdown into lemony heaven.
The Mary Berry recipe comes in many forms in her cake books, it will make one traybake or two 1lb loaf cakes. I have doubled and trebled the mix before to do coffee morning baking and they always taste as good whether made as a small or large batch of batter.
